Ron Claxton, (VICE PRESIDENT)

Ron began working at Professional Excavators as a superintendent in 1993. He was promoted to vice president in 2003. Ron has led many high-profile projects at Professional Excavators, including the Mackenzie Lake Boulevard Interchange for Alberta Transportation, the new Alberta Children’s Hospital, the Health Research and Innovation Centre (HRIC), and the TRW at the Foothills Hospital. Before joining Professional Excavators, Ron worked on the construction of the south leg of the Calgary LRT, bridges and subways throughout Toronto and Calgary, Canadian Pacific’s Rogers Pass tunnel (the longest railroad tunnel in North America) and the Kemano Completion Project Expansion by Alcan in British Columbia’s Kitimat Valley.

Sean Murphy, C.E.T.* (SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER)

Sean is the senior project manager and chief estimator, and has worked in the construction industry for close to a decade. His experience has given him the skills to accurately estimate and efficiently manage a wide variety of earthworks, mechanical site services, asphalt paving and concrete flatworks projects for commercial and civil clients. Before joining Professional Excavators, Sean worked as a Project Manager/Estimator at Lafarge where he managed the extension of the Northwest LRT expansion, a project valued at $60 million.

Kim Wolkowski, C.E.T., GSC** (SENIOR ESTIMATOR and PROJECT COORDINATOR)

Kim, as the business unit manager for both the concrete and asphalt divisions, applies 30 years of experience in commercial and civil construction to Professional Excavators’ concrete flatworks and asphalt paving projects. Prior to joining Professional Excavators, Kim managed Pro-Con’s Road Work and Concrete Construction Division. He also served as the General Manager of Construction Services at Lafarge Canada.

Tracy Cross, (CONTROLLER)

Tracy started with Professional Excavators in 2000, initially working in the field. After a few years in various positions throughout the company from field to office, Tracy was promoted to office administrator in 2002. Her dedication and enthusiasm earned her the position she holds today as Professional Excavators' controller. Tracy has completed several accounting-related programs and courses and recently attended Financial Analysis and Risk Management at the Haskayne School of Business.

Peter Zolotas, (GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT)

Peter has worked for Professional Excavators since 1991. He started working in the field and was eventually promoted to a foreman’s position. Peter was a foreman until 2007 when he became the Company’s General Superintendent/Operations Manager. He attended Mount Royal College in Calgary were he took courses in accounting.
