Marketing Coordinator - Part Time

Professional Excavators currently has a temporary opening for a Marketing Coordinator.

About the Job:

This position is temporary, 12-month position, to fill a maternity leave.


The Marketing Coordinator is a passionate, creative, well-versed, and analytical professional. This role will be instrumental in shaping employee experiences, engaging external audiences, shifting behaviors, and driving business objectives through digital communications.


The ideal candidate is an excellent writer and editor who can influence and engage diverse audiences, a creative problem solver, and an independent self-starter who is comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams and with all levels of seniority within a complex organization.


Primary Role & Responsibilities:

  • Help drive employee engagement and discussion to create a sense of belonging within PECI.

  • Maintain various communications channels to promote and distribute stories across PECI.

  • Help develop thoughtful and impactful content for proposals and strategic pursuits.

  • Turn technical content into compelling web posts for external audiences.

  • Edit technical write-ups, digital content, newsletters, magazines, and employee-facing articles.

  • Enhance employee brand experience and maintain a consistent brand voice across external and internal channels.

  • Plan, implement, measure, and report on multi-channel (web, social, email, etc.) digital communication campaigns.

  • Understand target audiences and develop appropriate engagement strategies leveraging multiple communication channels.

  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor in developing internal and external communications plans.

  • Develop, support, and execute company events.

  • Must be comfortable doing site visits to gather content.

  • Work with stakeholders to tell a story about each project PECI is a part of.

  • Maintain a working marketing budget.

  • Help create and execute internal employee surveys.


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications, PR, journalism, or marketing.

  • 2+ years of experience in a marketing role

Other Requirements: 

  • Creative, strategic thinker

  • Detail-oriented and organized.

  • Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities.

  • Project management skills are considered an asset.

  • Fundamental understanding of the digital marketing landscape 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to tell brand stories and communicate complex, technical ideas in a way that engages diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to create content that positively impacts the brand and enhances business objectives.

  • Proficient with digital marketing analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, SEO tools, and others

  • Proven ability to use digital marketing data to inform digital strategy and communications tactics.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with creative professionals (writers, graphic designers, marketers, videographers) in a team environment, as well as to work autonomously.

  • Experience presenting content and analytics to teams.

  • Familiarity with photography and video production is considered an asset.

  • Knowledge of the latest trends in the construction field is considered an asset.

  • Understanding of marketing and promotional best practices and tactics and how digital content can enhance marketing and promotional campaigns.
